I read this book fast (easy read for 200+ pages), very helpful and directly to the point. The video that came in the package was also good and packed with information. Makes you realize there's a lot to think about any career but especially aircraft related careers. Gave a lot of other info that hadn't even occurred to me. There was quite a bit of information about this industry and how to make the most money.

Frequently Asked Questions

What about the money?

Can I make a lot of money as an aircraft mechanic?

If you know the right steps you can make a lot of money.

How much money can I make?

Right now there are aircraft mechanics that are making $50 an hour. As you gain more experience as an aircraft mechanic, you will make more money.

I know mechanics who have only been in the career a few years that are making $1,200 - $2,000 a week.

How can I make $50 an hour as a mechanic?

There are aircraft mechanic jobs posted right now that are paying even more than $50 an hour. Once you enter the career and once you know where to look, you can find these high-paying jobs.

"Hi there Mr. Stan King! I have been meaning to write to you for a long time. I read your book The Aircraft Mechanic awhile ago, and now I’m happy to say I’m an Avionics Technician for a large company making over $90,000 a year.

The pay is excellent and I can finally give my family the life we deserve. And it all started with reading your book.

Thank you for writing your book and helping me and others learn about this career. I’m hoping one day I can meet you!"

- Sean Trayborn

But don't I have to go to school?

Don’t I need a degree to work as an aircraft mechanic?

NO! This is the second most common question I get from people. SOME people get an A&P Certificate or other type of license or certificate depending on which country they’re in, but you DO NOT have to have a degree, license, or certificate to be an aircraft mechanic.

However, some mechanics choose to get an A&P certificate, and I am going to show you EXACTLY how to get one for free.

In fact, using my methods you will actually be PAID while you are training for your A&P certificate.

But you DO NOT have to go to school or have any kind of degree or certificate to be an aircraft mechanic.

I’ve heard that to become an aircraft mechanic I have to join the military. Is this true?

Absolutely NOT! I’ve known aircraft mechanics who didn’t even have high school diplomas! You DO NOT have to be an aircraft mechanic in the military before you can have a career as an aircraft mechanic.

I’m 21 and have always worked dead end jobs since I graduated high school. For the past year I been a roofer which is really hard work for low pay. I never went to college and was looking for something that would pay me some good money and fast. After reading this book and following the steps I got on with a company building airplane seats making around $1,000 a week. I make even more if I work over my normal time. And the work is really easy much easy than putting on roofs. The best thing is I didn’t have to go to school. All I can say is I thank God I found this book.

Is this career hard?

Do you have to be smart to be an aircraft mechanic?

Listen, I don’t mean to sound like a jerk, but I’ve worked around mechanics that had as much brains as a bag of rocks, and some of them have been making $30 an hour or more for years!

Is it hard to be an aircraft mechanic?

Technically, no it isn’t. Some of the work can be physical, but I’ve known aircraft mechanics that were 70 years old!

This career sounds technical. Will it be too hard for me?

There are many different positions available to you as an aircraft mechanic, and some are more technical than others. However, NONE of the work is very technical.

If you can remove and install a door knob, YOU can be an aircraft mechanic.

But I heard you have to do a lot of math to be an aircraft mechanic. Is that true?

NO! Whoever told you that doesn’t know what they’re talking about! Being an aircraft mechanic involves using very basic math. In fact, most of the math used is the same math many kids learn by the fourth grade!

Most of the time you don't even have to use ANY math.

I don’t know anything about aircraft. Do you think I could do this job?

Most new mechanics begin their careers with easy tasks, and new tasks are given as they gain new skills. Many mechanics sit around on the first day of their jobs just cleaning aircraft parts with a rag and a bottle of cleaner! It can’t get any easier...

You can be an aircraft mechanic even if you know NOTHING about airplanes or helicopters.

What about women?

I’m a woman. Can I still be an aircraft mechanic?

Yes! There are many women who are aircraft mechanics. In fact, if I had to estimate, I’d say nearly 30% of the mechanics I worked around were women.

Will this job be harder because I'm a woman?

No! Women do the same tasks as men when it comes to working as an aircraft mechanic.

"I’m so glad I found your website! I finished reading your book a few days ago and can’t wait to get started. I’m also glad you you talked about women in this career, because that was something I was kind of worried about.

I’ve always liked working on cars and motorcycles, and now I’m ready to make some good money working on planes. Thanks for writing your book!"

Am I too young or too old?

I’m 16, can I get a job as an aircraft mechanic?

Believe it or not, you actually might be able to. You will most likely start out working under more experienced mechanics at an aircraft maintenance facility. I have known 16-year-old mechanics who were making nearly $18 an hour. I discuss this in detail in The Aircraft Mechanic.

I’m older than 50. Is that too old to become an aircraft mechanic?

No! I trained many mechanics that were much older than you when I was an aircraft mechanic! That’s one of the best things about this career: there are positions suitable for nearly every person.

What's this thing called an A&P License (or A&P Certificate)?

What is an A&P License?

The A&P license is technically a certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration. Basically, an individual who is issued a license is qualified to work on every part of an aircraft.

Is there a difference between an A&P License and an A&P Certificate?

No. Some people will tell you that "A&P Certificate" is the correct term, and others will tell you it doesn't matter. In my experience, more people use the term "A&P License" than "A&P Certificate".

Do I have to have an A&P License to have a career as an aircraft mechanic?

Absolutely not! As I mentioned earlier, many times you don’t have to have ANY degree, license, or certificate to work as an aircraft mechanic.

If you don’t need a license, why do other mechanics get them?

Usually, it's because most people don't know that they can enter this career without going to school or college. A lot of times it’s because the schools and colleges have told them that to become an aircraft mechanic they MUST have a license. Again, this is simply not true.

I think I’d like to get my A&P certificate. How long does it take to get it?

It takes approximately 1 to 3 years. Remember, I'm going to show you how to actually make money while you train to get your A&P for free.

How much does it cost?

Most people pay $10, $20, even $40,000 to get their A&P license.

If you use my methods you will get your A&P license for FREE and without going to school or college.

I bought this book to get a free A&P certificate.

The only reason I bought this book was to get a free A&P certificate. I had researched a few A&P schools and that’s when I found The Aircraft Mechanic. I was skeptical at first because I didn’t know this was possible, but I bought the book based on all the good reviews.

Fast forward a year... Using the methods in the book I found a spot with a company here in Florida where I’ve been working as an A&P mechanic. Sometimes the days can be long, but the other mechanics are friendly and helpful and I’m making some really good money. I should have my A&P certificate in 4 or 5 more months, which is the best part.

If you are looking to get your A&P certificate, I recommend you read this book. It will help you and save you some money.

I still don't know what to do...

It’s so hard to know what kind of career to choose. Will The Aircraft Mechanic help me decide if this career is right for me?

Yes! That's one of the main reasons I wrote The Aircraft Mechanic. I know how hard it is to choose a career, and you don’t want to waste your time on something if you’re not going to like it in the end.

The Aircraft Mechanic will show you what this career is really like, the BEST ways to become an aircraft mechanic, and how to make the most money.

I don’t know anything about being an aircraft mechanic, so can I still get into this career?

Hey, I didn’t know anything about being an aircraft mechanic either. That didn’t stop me from becoming one when I was a teenager, and it didn’t stop me from making $70,000 - $90,000 a year. I wrote The Aircraft Mechanic just for you.

Other common questions...

What’s the difference between an "aircraft technician" and an "aircraft mechanic"?

Nothing! The terms mean the same thing.

I like to work on cars. Do you think being an aircraft mechanic is a good career for me?

Probably. However, working on aircraft is a much different experience than working on automobiles. The Aircraft Mechanic will tell you exactly what you need to know to decide whether or not this career is right for you.

I have no mechanical ability. Can I still be an aircraft mechanic?

Absolutely! In fact, many mechanics I’ve worked with over the years did not have great mechanical skills.

This all sounds like a lot of work to become an aircraft mechanic. Will it take a long time?

Well, you couldn’t be more wrong. It’s very easy. In fact, if you know the steps, you could be an aircraft mechanic in as little as a few weeks! What’s most important is whether or not you will like the career.

The work is not technical, you can make $20, $40, even $50 an hour or more, and you don’t have to go to college. Even so, you still need to know if the career is right for you. That’s why I wrote The Aircraft Mechanic.

I’m an aircraft mechanic in the military. Will it be easy for me to become a civilian aircraft mechanic?

Yes! Although obviously there are usually some differences between military aircraft and civilian aircraft, any experience you gain in the military will only help you!

Someone that I know wants to become an aircraft mechanic. Will your book help them?

It will tell them everything they need to know. In fact, The Aircraft Mechanic Package is commonly given as a gift!

The Aircraft Mechanic has helped more than 300,000 people all over the world find out how they can become a well-paid aircraft mechanic as fast as possible.

"I became an A&P mechanic almost three years ago after reading your book and I’ve been a contractor for over two years now. I’m bringing home over $8,000 a month now with my current gig."

- Chad Fuller
